SPONSORSHIP
The Seattle Times participates in community sponsorship programs we consider essential to maintaining our community's economic health and the quality of life in the Northwest. Sponsorship differs from Corporate Giving in that we "partner" with organizations to provide benefits in ways other than a direct financial contribution, and to create exposure for The Seattle Times.
Priority sponsorship support is given to organizations which:
- Emphasize our corporate values and are in alignment with our key focus areas
- Provide exposure to our readership
- Provide proven benefits to the community
- Include advertising space purchase
- Provide exposure for our product(s) to the public
How to Apply
Sponsorship requests must be submitted in writing and sent to:

Please allow 4 - 6 weeks for a response. The Seattle Times generally plans and budgets special sponsorships a year in advance.
Please include the following information in your request:
- A clear description of what is being requested from The Seattle
Times
- Description of the organization representing the proposal
- Description of the project or event and program logistics
- The intended results of the program, and plans for evaluation
- Description of the market reach, include demographics
- Benefits this project provides to the community
- A list of other sponsors
- Proposed advertising plan, including plans to purchase media
- Benefits to The Seattle Times
- A list of Seattle Times employees currently involved with the organization
or program, if applicable
