Growth expected to bring DMA
population to 4.8 million by 2012
As more people recognize Seattle and the surrounding area as an ideal place to work and play, its population continues to grow.
With more than 3.2 million residents, the Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue Metropolitan Statistical Area ranks 15th in terms of total population among 363 MSA markets nationwide.
Experts project that by 2012, population will increase by 116,600 in the Seattle-Bellevue-Everett MD, 169,200 in the Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue MSA and by 239,200 in the Seattle-Tacoma DMA (Western Washington).
